If you are looking for a middle-term, English / Spanish translation solution with the possibility of using many add-one modules to enhance its abilities, Professional Edition of Word Magic Translator could be the answer. This edition aims to get a balanced cost / features tool. The integration with MS Word is pretty tight including a tool bar to use Word Magic Translator right from within MS Word, and some options under the File menu of the translator to open either the source or translated text in a Word file. Word Magic Translator looks just like an MS Word window which has been horizontally divided; each section displays text in one of the languages (English and Spanish), and it allows you to toggle the language position by pressing buttons on the tool bar. Instead of typing in the text you want to translate it’s possible to directly import that text from a file. All file types recognized by MS Word are valid to use with the Translator, and by using a special add-on you can even import text from PDF files. Professional edition lacks of the voice recognition features for dictation and program control that Professional Plus has. Compared with Standard edition, Professional edition incorporates some extra features such as: sweep function for listing not-found words, translation to and from international variations of the basic languages (Mexican, European, American, British, and else), and true retranslation to source language. The regular features include spell checking, text pronunciation in English and Spanish, printing feature to print out the text alternating both languages, a huge database of phrases, idioms and phrases, and near 20.000 first names in each language.
